​​WHAT WE OFFER
The courses provided at East Coast Art Studios offer students the only opportunity in Ireland to study both classical & contemporary painting and drawing and to train professionally on a part-time basis all year round. The studio is open to all levels, welcoming beginners to professional artists. It provides a positive and creative atmosphere where students can explore their individual artistic goals and interests. Materials such as oil paint and medium and basic drawing materials, paper are provided. You can discuss all other materials with us after you book the studio.

Weekly Classes (Mixed Level)
Suitable for all levels, our weekly classes allow students to study oil painting and drawing all year round both during the day (Wed & Sat 10-4pm)
or in the evening (Mon & Tues 6-8.45) Students choose an area of interest such as abstraction, landscape, portraiture or the figure
and are guided through the process of developing skills in a classical or contemporary style.

Choose from the following options:
DAYTIME
​ Book 12 hrs of classes over any 4 week period throughout the year on any Wednesday and/or Saturday 10am - 4pm 
you have 2 Booking options 
Option 1       2 full day classes time 10-4 pm on Wed&/or Sat
or
Option 2      1 full day class 10-4pm  & 2 x 3hr sessions on any Wed, Sat Time options - morning 10-1 or afternoon 1-4

​NIGHTIME
 Monday  6pm - 8.45 pm -  Each term pass gives you access to 8 classes across a designated 10 -week period
 Tuesday 6pm - 8.45 pm -  Each term pass gives you access to 8 classes across a designated 10 -week period

Suited to individuals who wish to commit to intensive study over a longer period of time,
researching interests such as portfolio preparation,  portraiture, the figure, Landscape, Abstraction etc.
This packages includes a personal consultation session, group classes, drawing courses

Private and Group Sessions
We offer private 1:1 and group instruction in painting and drawing for artists of all levels.
Each session is based on the particular interests and goals of the individual(s).
1:1 Tuition
Private sessions are suited to individuals seeking to develop their practice or to learn
a new technique in a focused, supported manner. We also offer private tuition for
portfolio assessment and development.

Weekend Workshops
East Coast art studios is a unique model of training where you enter into a course specific to your
own interests and you can start your course anytime of year. But sometime we offer a range of weekend workshops

Gallery Tour
Field trips are organised to permanent collections and specific exhibitions throughout the
year. This is a wonderful opportunity to examine works of art in situ and learn more about
techniques such as glazing, sfumato, underpainting and grisaille. We also explore
composition and how to do quick sketches from artworks in the gallery so that you may apply

​​CONTINUING TO STUDY IN EAST COAST ART STUDIOS
When you complete your initial booking  we would advise clients to simply book the EVENING CLASSES  or  the DAYTIME CLASSES on  Wednesdays & Saturdays. In these sessions, you can develop your practice throughout the year and focus on whatever subjects and techniques are of interest to you, either in contemporary or classical painting and drawing. We also recommend you do the drawing course as drawing underpins all painting.

CONDITIONS: Once confirmed, all sessions are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable. If classes have to be cancelled by East Coast Art Studios for any reason, students will be offered a refund for the missed class, or an opportunity to retake the session at another date. All paint and drawing materials are provided for both drawing and painting courses except canvas. Students taking the intensive programme or ongoing classes must bring their own set of brushes these can be provided by the studio please ask for info. Students wishing to paint on a larger scale may bring a canvas with them to the studio.  All class times include 5 minutes of clean-up. . Photos/videos taken by East Coast Art Studios during sessions, including of students or students work may be used for promotional purposes unless students specifically request otherwise.
