WHAT WE OFFER
The courses provided at East Coast Art Studios offer students the only opportunity in Ireland to study classical painting and drawing and to train professionally on a part-time basis all year round. The studio is open to all levels, welcoming beginners to professional artists. It provides a positive and creative atmosphere where students can explore their individual artistic goals and interests. Materials are provided although students are encouraged to buy their own brushes which are available from our studio shop. There is an additional charge for canvases.

Weekly Classes (Mixed Level)
Suitable for all levels, our weekly classes allow students to study oil painting and drawing all
year round. Students choose an area of interest such as landscape, portraiture or the figure
and are guided through the process of developing skills in a classical or contemporary style.
Choose from the following options:
Tuesday 6pm - 8.45 pm Each term pass gives you access to 8 classes across a designated 12-week period
Suitable for all levels, our weekly classes allow students to study oil painting and drawing all
year round. Students choose an area of interest such as landscape, portraiture or the figure
and are guided through the process of developing skills in a classical or contemporary style.
Choose from the following options:
Tuesday 6pm - 8.45 pm Each term pass gives you access to 8 classes across a designated 12-week period
Wednesday and Saturday 10am - 4pm Access to 4 x 3hr sessions across any 4 week period. Combine two sessions for a full-day booking time 10-4 or book separate 3hr sessions.
Time options - morning 10-1 and afternoon 1-4

Intensive Programs
Suited to individuals who wish to commit to intensive study over a longer period of time,
researching interests such as portraiture, the figure, Bauhaus, Abstraction or Expressionism.
This packages includes a personal consultation session, group classes, drawing courses

Gallery Tour
Field trips are organised to permanent collections and specific exhibitions throughout the
year. This is a wonderful opportunity to examine works of art in situ and learn more about
techniques such as glazing, sfumato, underpainting and grisaille. We also explore
composition and how to do quick sketches from artworks in the gallery so that you may apply

Next Tour - Turning Heads National Gallery May 19th time 2-4

CONTINUING TO STUDY IN EAST COAST ART STUDIOS
When you complete this initial workshop we would advise clients to do another course and hone in on the areas that started to interest you. Clients can also book the EVENING CLASSES or the DAYTIME CLASSES on Wednesdays & Saturdays. In these sessions, you can develop your practice throughout the year and focus on whatever subjects and techniques are of interest to you, either in contemporary or classical painting and drawing. We also recommend you do the drawing course as drawing underpins all painting.
