East Coast Art Studios is open to all levels to start classes with us at anytime during the year. We welcome creatives of all levels and interests. Learn in a collective, positive and creative atmosphere under the guidance of the teacher while exploring individual artistic goals and interests in the mediums of Oil paint, watercolor and drawing. You will be taught by direct demonstration in a large French style atelier. You have your own easel and studio station with a large glass palette. Clients use these classes to gradually increase their knowledge in oil painting, watercolor and drawing techniques. You choose if you wish to study the classical or contemporary approach to portraiture, Landscape or the figure. Abstraction and expressionism is also taught in the studio and has its own specific programme for training. One may also wish to create a whole body of work for an exhibition or a professional portfolio to apply for art college. Students learn how to set up a palette, use brushes correctly, mix color and apply paint to create their work or learn numerous techniques in drawing. Intermediate and practicing artists have used these sessions to improve technique, develop a personal style, deepen understanding of color mixing, and sharpen their ability to identify color and technique in master and contemporary works and apply them to their practice. Many of our clients in Berlin studied with us on and off over 2 -3 years gradually developing their ability to a very high level.
