The Atelier: Into the Studio
For creators of all levels who wish to commit to The Atelier: Into the Studio over a 1 or 2 month period, and research any range of interests, such as portraiture, the figure, landscape and abstraction we offer this exciting course. It includes a 1-1 private session to set a plan for your course and identify your artistic goals, 8 full day 10-4 group classes. This Atelier course can take place over any 1/2 month period. It is well-suited for short-term visitors to Dublin and clients who wish to do concentrated study to develop artistic skills quickly. These options offer dedicated time to study painting or drawing in classical or contemporary styles and to develop your own practice.
You can start this course at any time of the year, provided there is space available, and book as many as you want over a period of time that works for you. Many students might book the intensive course and then book further classes in drawing and painting throughout the year to continue their artistic development at their own pace. To place your booking please ring or email us or book online and email us your first date for your course on any Wednesday and Saturday . All other dates can be booked when suits you or send all 8 dates in advance. Your private 1-1 class can be arranged with Eoin directly once you book.
1 Month Intensive Course
- An initial 1-1 session (3 hours) During this session you will meet with artist and teacher Eoin Llewellyn to discuss your previous work (if any), your artistic goals, and to develop an action plan for the coming 5 weeks. In this session you can also get started painting and drawing after the consultation.
- 8 x Painting/Drawing Group Class (10:00-16:00); six hours on any Wednesdays and/or Saturday over any 10 week period. Allows focused practice on your work and the possibility to work on a larger scale and receive personalised instruction.
- Materials provided : Oil paints and medium, and willow and paper. Four canvases included (2x 30x40cm and 2 x 40x50cm).
- BOOKING EXTRA HOURS: You can also avail of other times to study at the studio; Drawing Course, Painting - Tuesday Evenings 6-9or additional six-hour sessions on Wednesday/Saturday.

Work within a professional atelier environment and develop your skills in painting and drawing through sustained, hands-on practice.

- Private 1-hour introduction (9:00–10:00am before your first session)
- 4 full studio days (10:00am–4:00pm)
- Access to a working studio with guidance on your chosen path from teacher Eoin llewellyn
- All materials provided: loan of brushes and use of paper, oil paints
- 4 canvases: 2 × 30 × 40 cm and 2 × 40 × 50 cm
JOINING THE INTENSIVE PROGRAMME
You can start the intensive programme at any point during the year, as long as there is availability. Places on the programmes are limited to nine clients at any one time. So we advise booking your session in advance where possible to insure you have a place. All materials included,except canvas, we also ask students to bring 1 set of brushes or get set at the studio. Once you email or call us with your proposed dates we will confirm and ask you to pay. Your dates will be booked into the calendar and will be considered final .Please note conditions of bookings at bottom of page.
CONTINUING TO STUDY IN EAST COAST ART STUDIOS
When you complete this initial programme we would advice to do another course and hone in on the areas that started to interest you. Clients can also avail to join the EVENING CLASSES or the DAYTIME CLASSES on Wednesdays & Saturdays. We will guide you all year round to develop your practice and focus on whatever subjects and techniques are of interest to you, either in contemporary or classical painting and drawing. We also recommend you do the drawing course as drawing underpins all painting.
