Come join us on a tour of some works in the National Gallery Ireland. Teaching creatives how to examine paintings and explore the layers and strata that create the luminous varied surfaces of various periods throughout the past 500 years. We will explore glazing, Sfumato, underpainting, grisaille, different palettes. We will also touch on composition and how to do quick sketches from paintings in the gallery and how to utilise what you learn and to bring back to your home studio and apply in your own work. Anyone who has done an Intensive course with us has no charge for this tour they just need to register by email. Places are limited so book early. You can also buy a ticket for a friend who may find it of interest.
We will only use the public part of the gallery so there is no entry charge.
